We are currently seeking a
System Designer (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Development of system concepts (system architecture, functional and technical specifications) for complex communication systems
- Selection of suitable components (including third-party components)
- Requirements analysis and implementation in a system design
- Identification of conflicting requirements and documentation in device lists, block diagrams and compliance matrices
- Clarification of technical details and coordination with clients
- Creation of functional and non-functional system, subsystem and component specifications and detailed specifications
- Participation in acquisition,
i.e. evaluation of requirements, preliminary system design, cost estimates, technical descriptions for quotations
- Definition and planning of new products, taking into account company strategy and market requirements
- Participation in the definition and provision of a suitable infrastructure for system development and optimisation of system engineering processes
Your profile:
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or comparable qualification
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of communications technology
- Ability to define innovative and future-proof communications and IT architectures in a creative manner.
- Knowledge of military radio transmission procedures and extensive experience in the development and design of electrical and electronic system assemblies
- Knowledge of current communication and network technologies as well as radio equipment, SatCom, modems and cryptography devices.
- Knowledge of ATM and Ethernet/IP networks and serial interfaces
- Knowledge of naval procedures and standards as well as command and control systems
- Initiative, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
