For our new Training and Documentation department in Wilhelmshaven, we are currently seeking a
Technical Editor and Trainer (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
1.- As a Technical Editor:
- Creation of customer documentation for systems, equipment and devices for the German and international navies, both in the area of descriptive documentation and spare parts documentation
- Creation and editing of illustrations
- Maintaining, structuring and archiving documentation
- Checking the documentation for form and content
- Verifying the practical aspects by testing the system
- Monitoring and checking translation orders
- Active participation in process design within the department
- Direct communication with public clients
- Setting up, implementing and monitoring communication with public clients
- Helping to design content in guidance documents and data exchange agreements
2.- As a trainer:
- Preparation of internal and external training courses for customers and our employees in German and English
- Creation of curricula and definition of learning objectives
- Development of training concepts
- Creation of training materials
- Responsibility for the technical accuracy of the training materials created
- Conducting theoretical and practical training courses at Aeromaritime, at the customer’s premises and on board ships
- Sales support for training courses
- Maintaining, structuring and archiving training materials
What you bring to the table (must-haves):
- You have successfully completed a technical degree or can demonstrate professional experience as a technical editor (at least 3 years)
- You have already gained experience with public sector clients.
- You are familiar with the S2000M and S1000D specifications and are no stranger to IEC82079-1
- You impress with your highly independent way of working, initiative and ability to work in a team
- You have already worked with illustration programmes
- You have a high level of technical and social competence
- Occasional travel within and outside Germany is no problem for you
It would be great if you already have…
- in-depth knowledge of radio communication (HF, VHF, UHF) and IT technologies,
- completed training as an instructor or have another qualification in adult education,
- a military background, ideally as an instructor in a technical association, or
- knowledge of military maintenance procedures
