Technical Writer and Trainer (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities
As a Technical Writer
- Create customer documentation for systems, installations, and equipment for German and international navies, including descriptive and spare parts documentation
- Create and edit technical illustrations
- Maintain, structure, and archive documentation
- Review documentation for formal accuracy and content quality
- Verify practical aspects through testing on systems
- Monitor and review translation orders
- Contribute to the development of departmental processes
- Communicate directly with public-sector clients
- Set up, manage, and monitor communications with public-sector clients
- Contribute to the development of guidance documents and data exchange agreements
As a Trainer
- Prepare and deliver internal and external training sessions for customers and employees in German and English
- Develop curricula and define learning objectives
- Design training concepts
- Create training materials
- Ensure technical accuracy of training content
- Deliver theoretical and practical training at Aeromaritime, customer sites, and on board ships
- Support sales activities related to training offerings
- Maintain, structure, and archive training materials
What You Bring (Must-Haves)
- Successfully completed a technical degree or at least 3 years of professional experience as a technical writer
- Experience working with public-sector clients
- Familiarity with specifications such as S2000M, S1000D, and IEC 82079-1
- Highly independent working style, initiative, and strong teamwork skills
- Experience with illustration software
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and internationally
Nice to Have
- Solid knowledge of radio communications (HF, VHF, UHF) and IT technologies
- Trainer qualification or certification in adult education
- Military background, ideally as an instructor in a technical unit
- Knowledge of military maintenance procedures
